#26 really threw me off and like others on here I picked A instead of E since impossible sounded too strong.

So to clarify, based on reading the previous comments, if we choose to take PTs with four sections, will there be an overlap with the LR drills?

That would be a bummer because I was hoping to do four sections to build stamina for how long the test actually takes.

Don't say that; law schools all around the country are lowering their standards due to smaller incoming classes. I just read an article on it this morning. There's no harm in applying just to see what happens!

Could you post a link to the article? I'd be very interested in seeing that.

Have you thought about coming to the US if finances permit it? That's a great score here obviously.

Could someday expand on why answer choice D is wrong? I picked it thinking that since it's showing the best way to decrease heart disease, North Americans aren't doing the right thing by drinking more red wine, so it's wrecking the French argument. I know JY said the best way doesn't matter, but it's still fuzzy.

I would say retake the LSAT at the time best convenient for you. I've taken the test three times (canceled one score) and went up from 148 to 154. I'm studying to re-take it again as I feel I am capable of getting a higher score.

I'm really upset I got this question wrong. I was torn between A and C but picked A because I saw the word every in the first sentence, which is Group 1 Sufficient. If you take it that way, it forms an argument that is similar in structure to the stimulus. Ughhhh.

I'm unsure if you're a member of the LDS church but if you are BYU is the cheapest law school in America. Its my personal target school to get into since I'm a member and its extremely cheap.

Do law schools care how many times you take the LSAT?

I apologize since I know this question is probably asked alot.

I just received my July score back (149) and canceled it to sign up for the October test for free. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with my July score since my practice tests have been getting better. I've taken the March 2019 test and received a 148. As of right now I'm currently registered for September and October. However I am also thinking of signing up for the November exam which would bring my total test takes up to five and would show four scores and one cancellation on my law school report. If I take the November exam that would be the final LSAT I would take. So my law school report would look like this:

March 2019: 148

July 2019: Cancelled

September 2019: 1xx

October 2019: 1xx

November 2019: 1xx

So my overall question is: will law schools I apply to care about how many times I've taken the LSAT or will the admissions teams simply just care about my highest score? Would five times hurt my application?

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll proceed to take them on 7Sage until I get closer to the end of my prep. I wasn't aware of changing the interface on 7Sage.

Doing Practice Tests on LawHub vs 7Sage

Hi everyone, I apologize if this is a bit long. I'm going to begin taking practice tests soon to hopefully take the test around August to October of this year. I've been researching and debating how best to do practices tests between LawHub and 7Sage. I now seek the opinion of the 7Sage community.

I am leaning towards doing them all on LawHub to use the correct testing format in the self-paced mode. This would involve pausing each section (instead of submitting it) once my 35-minute window is up to avoid answers since LawHub doesn't hide your score/correct or incorrect answers. Then I would blind review the paused sections and input my answers on the 7Sage convert to paper option. Of course, on the other hand, doing the tests on 7Sage is nice since you don't see your score and have the blind review interface.

Another dilemma is since LawHub has all of the PTs in the same order (I believe it's LG LR LR RC), is that another reason 7Sage is better since their tests are in the actual order real tests were? Does anyone have experience doing only ones in the same order on LawHub, or do you purposely do them on 7Sage to have different section orders? I'm unsure if it would be a good thing to take every practice test in the exact same order on LawHub.

Also, during my research, I had seen a post by a 7Sage staff member on a Reddit forum who recommended that we take 90% of our PTs on here and 10% on LawHub.

What method do you guys personally do, and what website do you use to take practice tests?

I'm not seeing why C is not correct. I was thinking that if the anti-tumor stuff is in most organisms then wouldn't that mean they resist cancer just as well as sharks? Thus it must be false?

I took the test on Saturday. My order was LR-LG-RC-LR.

I remember for LG a game about government info being leaked. RC had passages about Mexican art and birds. In the second LR section, I had some questions about a guitar on the wall, Egyptian dice, and genes.

Overall, I think I did fine on LG. For RC and LR I found it be a little difficult but not too bad.

Do you blind review the second LR Section?

I just took my first PT doing all four sections for stamina. For BR, do you guys look at the second Logical Reasoning section, or do you check "simulate modern" to review only the other three sections since the actual test only has three scored sections?

I feel a con of looking at the second LR section would be that it takes up more time but a pro is that I'm obviously reviewing more questions. I'm just unsure what to do.

I had LG-RC-LR -LG. I'm not aiming for a super high score so I'm hoping I at least got enough right to get a 155 and up.

The first LG section was brutal. I had to guess on that super hard third game. If that's the experimental section than I have a chance to get the score I want. The last LG section I had was the one with fencing. I did well on the first two games on that one and had to somewhat guess on the last two.

LR wasn't too bad. I ran out of time for three questions and had to guess. I remember the monkeys getting tokens and another question being about revealing a witness's name.

RC wasn't too bad either but I got disconnected on the last passage for a few minutes with about six minutes left. Once I was reconnected I had to re-read the passage all over again which killed me with time and made me answer the last few questions pretty fast. Hopefully that didn't do too much damage to me. I remember the passages were about nigeria, EMF's, and plants.

Everyone's circumstances and abilities are different so do what's best for you. I'll be taking it and have not done any practice tests since I last took it in August 2021. I'm wrapping up reading the PowerScore LSAT Bibles along with some 7sage curriculum, so I probably won't start for another week. The only difference for me in why I'm more confident of getting a better score is I will have accommodations for my disabilities this time in January so I'm okay if I get a later start on practice tests.

7Sage Practice Test Pause Feature

I’ll be taking the January 2023 test and am doing my first PT tomorrow (I know it’s a bit close). I’ll have accommodations for my disabilities with one of them being the option to pause the test anytime.

I looked at the 7sage practice test format and don’t see an option to pause the test anywhere. As I’m trying to replicate the real thing it’d be nice to have it on here. Is there no option on here or has anyone found it and I’m just overlooking it?

Damn I completely overlooked B! The tomb and passed-on difference is so clear. Also symbolize isn't the same as being a weapon. It could symbolize and still not be a warrior's mace.

Best way to study for August 2021 LSAT?

Hi!

I just signed up for the August 2021 LSAT. Since this test will have four sections instead of three with the experimental section being added, for practice test purposes would you suggest that I stick to taking practice tests with just three sections with the Flex option or should I do all four sections of a test?

Thank you

Conflicted about Score?

Hi everyone. I just got my score today which was a 154. I had been hoping for around a 155 to 160. Would anyone say that a 154 is a good score? It's at the 55th percentile.

I'm not trying to go to a top 20 law school. My target school is a top 50 school ranked in the 40's though my score is below the 25th percentile. According to the 7sage law school predictor tool I have a 54 percent chance of getting in since I'd do the early admissions decision. Would you guys suggest I give applying a shot or should I retake for a higher score in November?

Can you apply to a school and later retake the LSAT if you are rejected to a law school? If that's the case perhaps I could apply and if rejected, apply again next year.

I got this wrong on both timed and BR.

I kept reading B but thought it was descriptively inaccurate since it says it fails to consider that tides can be affected by conditions in which gravity acts. In contrast, the conclusion does consider that gravity affects tidal ranges. However, I ultimately failed to comprehend just how big of an impact the word "conditions" had in making the AC correct due to it talking about the geography or other factors of an environment of a beach, bay, etc.

This one got me on both timed and BR. Watching JY's explanation helped me understand.

The argument concludes that the area of the brain controlling speech is in the same area as comprehension and judgment since all three things were affected.

Maybe the speech is distinct, but they were all affected because the whole brain was affected?

LSAT Flex Question

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking to do the October or November test. I've taken some months off but am looking to get back into studying. Since the pandemic is unlikely to go away, these tests in fall will probably be the take at home test I've heard about. Can anyone bring me up to speed on the LSAT-Flex? 3 sections only, correct? Do I just take practice tests as normal?

Yield Protecton?

Has anyone else this application cycle got rejected from a school they thought they'd get into? I was just rejected from a school today where my LSAT is at the 75th percentile. I'm not sure if this was an example of yield protection or not. It certainly wasn't my first choice but not my last either. I hope I wasn't rejected just because they thought I wouldn't attend.

How to Best Simulate LSAT Flex?

I'm returning to studying tomorrow after a 3 week hiatus and some discouragement. I'd like to take the January or February test as I hope to start law school next fall. I haven't taken the test in the Flex format.

I have a few questions about simulating the Flex format:

When using my laptop to take the test is it best to do it through LawHub or on 7Sage? If I do it through LawHub would you recommend I just skip one of the two LR sections and than input my answers into 7Sage for Blind Review?

When using my laptop would you say its better to use a mouse or just the touchpad or screen (I have a Surface Book)? I wasn't sure if mouse's are even allowed or not on the test.

Would you recommend I tear out pages from a notebook? Also that I use the 7Sage proctor phone app with JY's voice as the proctor on LawHub?

Thank you!

Lower score first time using Lawhub?

I just took my first practice test on Lawhub since the actual test is only a little over a week away. I got a score lower than I've been getting and ran out of time on some sections which hasn't happened to me in a while. I'm hoping this is just because this was a new interface. Has anyone else had lower scores when adjusting from 7sage to lawhub?

Maybe its just me but doesn't negating answer choice D hurt the argument? I negated it in my mind to say "the faster a society changes, the more relevant the experience of older members of the society is to younger members". This seems to hurt the argument as it goes against what it says. I picked it because of my negation.
