I'm not sure if any of you have this trouble but I seem to be missing quite a few more questions (2-3) on the first LR section than the second. This is especially prevalent when LR is the first section of the exam. Any suggestions to remedy this?

Thanks guys! The only concern I have about warming up is that I won't be doing it before the actual test. Or do you recommend also doing it the morning of the exam?
@ Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but can you explain what CAS is/does?
@ Yes! Retaking in September. Good luck to you in December!
I started July 1st and am hoping to finish this weekend - so basically a month. I'm working 40 hrs a week this summer but I'm putting in all my extra time studying the 7sage CC. It's not taking as long for me though because I went through the PS bibles a couple months ago.
It helps if you watch videos on 1.2-1.4X!
Had 10/15 minutes left for virus game. Still failed to figure it out. 2 RC passages. For those who had only one, which passages were in it?
A lot of the schools I'm applying to say to submit now even if you're retaking. They'll hold the application if they think your retake score will change their decision. All of the applications I've submitted so far have a "standardized test" section where you're able to tell them you're retaking in December.
What time are these usually at and on what day? I'm still in university so I have classes during the day but I would love to join if possible.
I'm having the opposite problem - I can't generate enough interest in RC passages. I like to think of the games section as a competition with my previous scores and times. Because they are so learnable, once you get to the point of (near) perfection on every game it's hard to accept getting any questions wrong.
With a 165 I don't see why you wouldn't be eligible for some great scholarships, especially if you're not looking to get into a T14 school.
@.rizeq I didn't find the LG Bible to be that bad haha, it actually helped me
I also used PS LG and found it helpful. Before I started 7sage I was usually getting -0 on the LG sections. It took a lot of practice though and only happened in the last couple of months.
I have yet to get to the LG lessons in the 7sage core curriculum so I'm not sure how it compares.
@.busis I'll take a look. Thank you!
Okay I'm sure we've all been here. I finally got to a point where I was certain my PS couldn't get any better and then I found out the 2 page limit for schools is *double-spaced*. I eliminated quite a few things here and there to make it more concise but still have about 3 lines over. I've come up with a few ideas to get to 2 pages but don't want to do anything too risky. Here are my thoughts: eliminate space between paragraphs and indent, shorten space between paragraphs to a smaller font size (12 to 5), change the double-spacing to 1.9-spacing. What are your thoughts? Will anyone be able to tell?
Thanks in advance!
@ i applied in the #4-#22 range so I'm not sure if it'll be a problem for you!
@ It's just such a drastic change of career paths. Not sure if they would look at my major and be like "why is she applying?"
@ GPA isn't a concern at all. Just wondering if it's something I need to explain in my PS.
How do law schools view "unique" UG majors? I'm coming from a science background (materials engineering to be specific) and I'm wondering if my background will give me an advantage, disadvantage, or not really matter when applying for law schools.
Thanks!
@ every school I applied to had different requirements for the resume. Some wanted "full time" or "part time" written, some wanted months, others wanted hours. Because of this I had at least four different versions of my resume. I'd look at the specific requirements of the schools you're applying to and set up your resume according to that.
@ Is it necessary to finish the core curriculum before starting back up with the PTs?
Thank you - this was very helpful! Very true about getting rattled before the test due to bad PT scores. The last 4 PTs I took were a good 5 points under my average and I'm sure that did nothing to help with the nerves.
Good luck
Hello!
I apologize if this is a repeat discussion - I saw a few similar discussions here but none that specifically answered my questions. I recently took the June LSAT and received a relatively decent score (164) but am looking to improve to a 170. I had completed the PTs from 62-70 while preparing for the June test (as well as using the Powerscore books) and am wondering if retaking them would be beneficial. I'm guessing there are some advantages to retaking, but I'm wondering how to best utilize the old PTs. Should I retake them first, save them for right before the September LSAT, or switch off between the old PTs and new PTs?
Any advice is appreciated.
@ Thank you for your reply! I thought that it was required. Something in this thread had me thinking it was a choice to purchase haha
