Hey guys! Here's the official September LSAT Discussion Thread. Please keep all discussions of the September 2016 LSAT here!

Here's some ground rules, taken from my usual sticky:

We know that everyone will be excited to discuss what was on the September '16 LSAT, but mentioning specifics about the test (e.g., "I got B for question 6" or "the 3rd LG was sequencing") can get both us and you in a lot of trouble with LSAC. Saying that the test was hard/easy without going into detail is okay, but anything more specific is not okay. LSAC monitors this forum.

If you're unsure what may be too specific, feel free to PM me with what you'd like to post.

The only exception is you can say which sections were real or experimental. For example, the LG with "flowers" was experimental. That's okay.

TL;DR: PLEASE don't talk specifics about September's LSAT!

Here's where you can see the current Real/Experimental Sections:

Have fun discussing!

Really hoping for a forgiving curve given that ridiculous virus game

Computer virus might go down as one of the hardest games.

Think Zephyr airlines but computer viruses. I fathom there is a very easy way to expose this game but in 9 minutes I couldn't figure it out. I had to have missed something. after all that studying just couldn't get it to click damn.

I can't talk more about it but check out zephyr. Also a water pipes game I thought had the same principals but I can't recall it. I'll look around.

Eileen Gray died on October 31st.

    Coincidence? I think not.

I had two LG, I had 10 mins for that computer virus game, and got smacked. One of the hardest I've done.

Just got home. Had 3 LR sections... so one of them was experimental. Felt like just another pretest. If I get the score I was trending at, I'll be happy.

I did have JY's voice in my head most of the test. When I'd cross out wrong answers I'd say something in my head along the lines of "what, this just makes no sense" or "so what who cares?"

May we talk about the writing sample for a bit??? That thing was brutal.

Hope everyone's feeling okay! I don't think I did that bad, but I still feel kinda nauseous, lol. RC felt good. LR felt great. LG who the hell knows!? I figured out a few things on the Virus Game, but it was still a super tough game even with making a few inferences. I definitely don't think I hit my usual -0 on LG, but I think it'll be okay if I outperformed my usual RC. Lots of tough questions on RC, but I think I got lucky on a few and just happened to return to the perfect spot to confirm a curve breaker or two. I think this is a -12 test, but I guess everyone always feels like the real thing was harder than it was.

I am amazed by those of you who are able to remember LR questions. I seriously don't remember a single one.

The LSAT gave me yet another reason to hate computer viruses... as if I needed another one.

I just really hope I don't drop a -6 on that computer virus game. I feel I did really well on everything else and would hate for that one game to ruin everything

The thing that kills me is that experimental was a RC in section one. That is my dream, to have an RC in section one, when I'm fresh. Then I find out it was all a cruel lie.

LG caught me off guard because of my nightmare proctor and didn't even have time to reset 180 watch between Section 4&5 - literally! They were already clocking it at the minute all pencils were down & the proctor started talking - time began - losing almost a full minute really caught me off guard. I was slow on the Assistant Game and then struggled on the Computer Virus until I realized I had forgotten a flipping rule - it was really hard to gauge time because I didn't have a watch set nor any idea what time it started on the clock propped up on the floor across the room:( The proctor wouldn't let any one wear there watch on their wrist even analog - is that a new rule?

I liked my set-up - My first LR seemed so easy with similar PT stimulus topics I was sure it was experimental - but it was my only 26 section? RC passages weren't too bad but that is my weakness so I probably did not do well with the questions. Other 2 LR's - one was a little tougher with more role questions.

Overall - it was not a crash and burn so I am incredibly thankful. Got a lot of experience and my self-awareness of my weaknesses was "right on target" giving me definitive study plans for Dec retake:)

None of the test takers at my site were old enough to drink!! heehee (Our state Driver's licenses turn the underage pictures another direction.) & Yes they were wondering what the heck I was doing there. We had the standard dude with no pencils, etc pretty funny)

Also how the hell do people remember so much about the test? Am I the only one who feels like it was a blur? Wah :(

Honestly though the computer virus game ruined everything!!

I had two RCs and just recently learned that muscle memory and lacquer is the real section. I rarely have difficulty with RC and this really killed me, felt unsure for many answers. The computer viruses was also real and I had to guess on most of those questions.

LR was quite reasonable can't remember any that really confused me.

Still trying to figure out that Computer Game I swear I've seen it before but it may have been a game not written by LSAC.

Dang that sucks on the "mis understand word question" I read it and read it and came back and read it some more and couldn't figure it out.

My fear for this test was LR was very easy and i'm worried that they might have done a really good job with wrong answer choices.

You know when you are doing games and you have all sub game-boards so you can mechanically go down the list and move right on? That was LR all three sections to a TEE. Never felt like this before but..yeah...idk.

Game 3 Sub-boards is the way to go for sure but you couldn't allow yourself to solve them all out. Had to roll with them because I don't think you could understand how the rules operate in your head. Also first time I have ever had a problem confusing rules between games and games 2 and 3 had me questioning the rules.

Hope you guys talk about the RC difficulty because I couldn't tell. Questions felt super fucking hard while passages were quite easy. idk.

On a lighter note, what a joke on that first game still took me 8 minutes bahahahaha. Might be the first ever 3 minute game. @gojjlee291 this game should take you 30 seconds. srs

If anything is not allowed please tell me or edit it!

I had LG experimental and there was an RC passage about a lacquer artist who became an architect

Also there was an LR question about Caterpillars and Linoleric acid

I never made a bubbling error on a PT until about three weeks ago. Worrying about that now takes up a large portion of my life.

The "misunderstood" question only just now came back to me. That was a really tough one!
