This really is a bad question from LSAT. They want us to make assumption and how do they control what assumption is correct. If i'm the teacher, i may think answering many children's advanced creative questions is more difficult (doesn't mean it's not enjoyable) than gaining their attention. Answer B does specify the same group of children which makes it the more correct answer. But i just think this is a bad question.

Thank you all for opinions. I didn't think of retaking LSAT because I wanted to get JD ASAP, I was struggling between going to 3rd tier and pay full tuition or 4th tier with a small scholarship.

But after reading all the advice, I strongly believe retaking LSAT will be the best way to go! I know I can do better.

I will apply for law schools in October regardless, see what the results are. If my options don't surprise me, I will retake LSAT.

Thank you again!

Hi Tom,

I finished bachelor already.

I thought taking extra classes will change my GPA but I guess I misunderstood this.

If a lower ranking school with scholarship and a higher ranking school with full pay, I think your opinion is to take the lower ranking school, right?

Thank you for your advice! I will consider retaking LSAT.

Admission Stress #help #emotions

First of all, I am an LSAT 154 and GPA 2.64.

I definitely am not aiming for 1st tier law schools, I was wishing if I have a chance for 2nd tier.

With my terrible GPA, I start to worry even if any of the 2nd/3rd tier school would take me.

A little bit about myself, I am now 29, I moved out and became financially independent when I was 19, started my first law firm job when I was 20.

I have been working as a paralegal for 9 years, and my current position is in a fairly big firm, with my years of paralegal experience, my salary is now at 80k plus bonus and overtime.

However, when I worked and being financial stable for past years, I can only finish my Bachelor Degree with much longer time - 7 years. I was reckless to not care about my grades, I just wanted to finish the degree. I thought I will be fine being a paralegal for rest of my life.

But after 9 years of working, I now want to become a lawyer.

I am worried if I go to low ranked schools, I will get into attorney positions that offer lower salary than my current pay.

Some people advise me not to be a lawyer, because it may not be financially wise. I will have to stop working for 3 years plus law school loans, not to mention I still have a mortgage to pay.

But deep down I know I really want to be a lawyer.

What should I do? What do you guys think?

If I get rejected from my desired schools, should I go back to college and take more classes to bring up my GPA?

Another LSAT? Just go to low ranked school, my experience will help?

Or do you guys think I should just stay being a paralegal....:(

I chose answer choice C, which profit =/= sales, I agree that I made an incorrect assumption here.

BUT answer choice A - other companies not increasing in sales = blocks out the possibility that economy goes up as whole = higher chance that sales went up bc of free shipping.

Are these even bigger assumptions we making here?

LSAC, I am not convinced.

Some people said one should try to forget all the sad memories, but it is impossible to forget all the sad memories, does that equal to "you should not even try to forget"? I think this logically incorrect, or there are presumptions. Is that me thinking not logical enough, or if it is LSAT being double standard?

I have a problem with answer B setting a standard of an art being pleasing or not. That is totally subjective to anyone to judge. One thinks this art is aesthetically pleasing and one could think the same being aesthetically displeasing.

I guess I shouldn't attack LSAT's authority on this. lol

Context: Richer people built bigger house with narrower boards.

Hypothesis: narrower boards were a status symbol, designed to proclaim the owner's wealth

I do not see how answer choice B is proving the hypothesis.

Answer choice B is only saying narrower boards are more expansive, which "rich people use them but poor people don't" is a fact that stated as context. I was not questioning this from the beginning.

However, I was trying find support that rich people tend to show off wealth with house material. That's why I chose E.

Can there be other reasons rich people would use narrower boards? It could be other reason other than showing off wealth!

To me, B is additional evidence for the context, still not strengthening the hypothesis.

Or perhaps assumption is required for me to say B is correct.

The stimulus says if more Landlords install meters, means these Landlords switch from paying the bills to having tenant responsible for bills, which I find answer choice C incorrect.

If the stimulus compares two groups of landlords - first group pays for the bills, second group has tenant pays for the bill - then C all makes sense. BUT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A SWITCH OF RESPONSIBILITY HERE = If more Landlord who pays now would install meters.

Then for C to be correct, we have to assume 1. these Landlord will take away the energy efficient appliances, 2. reinstall less energy efficient appliance.

Really?

Whoever thinks identical twin watching the other twin is THE SAME AS looking at self, just never have identical twins friends. Despite the whole world thinks they look the same, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ALWAYS THINK THEY LOOK DIFFERENT.

smh LSAC.
