ON 13.2 the subject-predicate was: people (subject) are planning a trip(predicate). On 14.2 the S/P was: the puppies (subject) were (predicate.
My question is, why is planning a trip included in the predicate for 13.2 and why is rescued (which comes after were) not in the predicate for 14.2?
So if this argument was given it would be wrong:
*If I go to the store then I buy milk.
I bought milk
I went to the store*
because I could have bought milk elsewhere besides the store?
