wow.. that cleared it up! thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it :)

can someone please explain to me how the answer for this question is (e) and not (b)? I've been pondering about it for minutes and I still can't understand how that is. (e) says no adult should be responsible for every action he/she performs but premise says "sometimes." Please help. Thank you.

can anyone tell me why (E) is not the right answer? premise talks about in the beginning how NAFTA is misnamed. After quoting Adam Smith, conclusion is that workers' obstacles will hurt the free trade. So isn't that technically going from one argument to another?

Does anybody have any idea why the answer choice is (a) for this question? I couldn't find an answer so I ended up eliminating all of the answer choices because none of them seemed to make sense. Answer choice (a) seems to strengthen the argument, if anything. Someone please help! Thank you!

Isn't answer choice (C) kind of supported by the first sentence that says that "flight controls made by one member of the flight crew to be immediately viewed by the other crew members?" Doesn't this support that there is no need to exchange information verbally about flight control changes? Somebody help!

I have a problem with question 10. Answer choice B isn't an answer choice that Bearden would agree with. It is stated by the author. Question asks us what Beardon would agree with and so wouldn't answer choice A be more fitting?

Hi everyone,

This seems like it's a relatively easy question but I cannot understand why answer choice (b) is right over answer choice (a). Doesn't answer choice (b) strengthen the argument since Salmonella is has to be quickly identified and treated and new test detects Salmonella at levels that are low to pose a health risk to people?

Please share your wisdom!

Thank you!

hi guys,

can you guys help explaining to me as to what the difference is between answer choice (d) and (e)?

(d) says "some" and (e) says "many" but if I remember correctly, those two words are used interchangeably.

So I am confused as to why answer is (d) and not (e).

Thanks a bunch!

can someone explain why (d) is incorrect? can't "some people" consist of "social drivers?"

Can someone please explain to me why the answer in this question is (e) and not (a)? I feel like (e) is unnecessary. Why would it have to promote only healthful products? Isn't (a) supporting the conclusion in a right way? Thanks so much for the help!

i don't understand why C can't be the right answer. if ppl need to spend a lot to get a lot of points (which insinuates that they must spend a lot of money to acquire), isn't it true that you are spending more by acquiring those points vs. buying it retail shop?

for instance, you would have to spend 100,000 dollars to get points to buy something at 250 when something in the retails is sold at 300. doesn't C have to be true?

i just don't understand question 13. the fact that the author says "might" implies that he/she is optimistic. he/she isn't sure that it's going to happen but says it "might" happen. doesn't that in itself prove that he/she is optimistic? this just feels like the question is playing game with words. how is it supportive and not optimistic?

PT13.S2.Q15 - Smokers of Pipes or Cigars

I have to be missing something here. Can somebody explain to me how the answer in this question is (e) and not (c)? I just don't understand how inhaling smoke in a way that non-cigarette smokers inhale somehow puts them at an equal risk?

Can someone explain to me why (e) is wrong? After talking about "constant comparison" in premise, conclusion talks about those who for the most part refrain from comparing. Isn't this also an error, one that is perfectly described by answer choice (e)? Just because premise gives you those two relationships doesn't mean people who compare themselves always compare themselves to those who are more successful or to those who are less successful than they are.

If, along with the population that is of driving age, the annual number of traffic fatalities has declined over the last five years. How could A weaken the argument? If seat belt law went into effect 3 years ago, how could that explain the decline that happened during the 2 years before the seat belt law went into effect?

I truly don't understand how the answer for this question is (a) and not (c). I literally spent an hour trying to come up with reasons as to why that could be but still can't seem to find an answer. Can someone please help? How is there an analogy being made here?

Can anyone explain to me how the answer for this question is (b) and not (e)? I cannot convince myself that (e) is not the right answer. Saying (b) is the right answer seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Someone please help!

On previous problem set, didn't JY say that any answer that tries to resolve the paradox by providing two separate solutions to each discrepancy is incorrect? It seems like answer choice C is doing just that. Can somebody resolve, reconcile, or explain this discrepancy?

thanks for the reply! but where does it say that they are looking for the relative age of the tombs to one another?

your explanation on why C was correct makes perfect sense assuming that they're looking for the relative age of the tombs to one another. were we to assume that because they said "relative age?"

Hi guys,

Can anyone explain why the answer choice (c) is the correct answer? It's hard to see why this has to be the case when logs already have each ring representing one year. With this fact, it's already possible to know how old these logs are so why do we need this information?

Thank you!

Thanks so much for the reply. What I still don't get is, the conclusion says demolition proves that the majority in support was right. Why are we to ignore the conclusion? Is it because of what the question stem is asking?

Can somebody explain to me why answer choice (b) is the correct answer? I can't understand how renovating the houses would be the choice that precludes the possibility of trying the other approach. Isn't it the other way around with demolition?

Please help. Thank you!

my question with this question is: why would they fly away from their current vegetation? premise says they always hide in the nearby vegetation. How does it makes sense that they leave their current vegetation and fly into buildings because they reflect vegetation? Isn't there a contradiction in that?

I understand why (a) (b) (c) and (d) is wrong but I still don't understand why (e) is the answer. Am I supposed to assume that about the first three sentences? I made room for myself that though "many" can be made of wood, it doesn't necessarily mean that "most" are. Can someone please explain?
