Did anyone take the June test at NCCU, School of Law? How was the desk, the proctor, and the noise level? How long did it take from arrival to test?
Thanks in advance.

Five test centers in the Raleigh-Durham area will be reviewed below, including
I have taken the test in the first three test centers and visited the last two by myself. Based on my experience, I would recommend future test takers choose NC Central and William Peace mainly for three reasons: enough table space, short time elapsed between check-in and test, and professional proctors.
William Peace University
Proctors: Nice, kept the time accurately, made no noise, I have nothing to complain
Facilities: normal facilities, nothing to complain
What kind of room: small lecture room
How many in the room: 20~30 test takers
Desks: one classroom with small folding desks and one with big fixed desks. The former doesn't have enough space to layout both the test book and the bubble sheet. But the latter does.
Left-handed accommodation: no
Noise levels: 0
Parking: free parking in front of the test building
Time elapsed from arrival to test: I arrived at 8:15 am and the test started at 8:30 am.
Irregularities or mishaps: no
Other comments: no
Would you take the test here again? Yes
Date[s] of Exam[s]: 2018
NC State
Proctors: not professional. They were not familiar with the pre-test process. They collected the admission tickets before everyone filled in the personal information on the bubble sheet and had to redistributed them because no one remembered their own LSAT account number. This process took about 30 mins and added some unnecessary anxieties.
Facilities: normal facilities
What kind of room: huge conference room
How many in the room: 50~70 test takers
Desks: big continued desks
Left-handed accommodation: no
Noise levels: 0
Parking: free parking in front of the conference building
Time elapsed from arrival to test: 60~90 minutes. Because there were too many test takers, it took forever to check in. Also, I don't understand why there were two check-ins; the first was in the front door of the building and the second was in front of the conference room. The test was supposed to start at 12:30 pm but the check in didn't finish until 12:45.
Irregularities or mishaps:no
Other comments: the room temperature was freezing

NC Central University, School of Law
Proctors: nothing to complain
Facilities: normal
What kind of room: small lecture theater
How many in the room: 20~30
Desks: big continued tables
Left-handed accommodation: no
Noise levels: 0
Parking: there was paid parking in a garage which is about 10-min walk from the law school. But I parked in the reserved lot in front of the law school and didn't get a ticket.
Time elapsed from arrival to test:15 mins. The test started around 12:35 pm.
Irregularities or mishaps: no
Other comments: Before deciding to take my last LSAT at NC Central, I have seen a lot of scary comments on bad things, such as noise and terrible proctors, about this test center. I even learned from a June test taker that A/C in one of the test rooms was not working when she took the test. But luckily, everything went so well on July for me. I even thought it is the best testing experience ever for me.

Shawn University, and St. Augustine University
I didn't take the test there but I have checked test rooms there. Both have normal community college facilities with small folding tables, which can only accommodate a bubble sheet. This is a deal-breaker as I believe having comfortable desks and chairs is very important for performing well. I would suggest future test takers call the campus/hotel security/management and ask what kind of rooms/desks do they use before choosing the test center.

I’m really down about today. I was really confident going in and felt the first two sections went ok (RC and LR)..a little short of time at the end of each and had to rush a little, but nothing horrible. Then I got the LG section with the floors and it just went south. I probably only got about half of that whole section. When I saw the second LG after the break (fruit one) I was happy, thinking the first one had to be the experimental. I did better on the second one but not as well as I’d like. Last LR was ok.
Disappointed that the 1st LG was the real one. I have no idea how I did overall, but suspect I’m going to be unhappy. Ugh
same here. screwed the first LG and was panic during the break. saw the second LG after the break and thought it was the real one. felt happy until i checked these posts and turned out the one i did worse was the real one. i didn't finish either of the open/close game and the floor game damn haha

One of our proctors fell asleep in the back and started to snore really loudly during one of our sections, and the other had her cell phone go off during the second testing section. I took the June test at another location and the proctors were way more professional. But I don't think it was too distracting overall, just a bit surprising.
LR, RC, LG, LR, LG. LR & RC pretty straightforward. Panicked a bit on the LG's, unfortunately, so it's down to how well I forced out unvetted answers in the mad final few minutes. I'm guessing the LG will probably push my score below my target :( But we shall see..
I hope many of you are pleasantly surprised in Jan.! Glad it's over.
hi there. I think we are on the same boat. I also did RC-LR-LG, break, LG-LR. Under performed both LG section (didn't finish either) and did worse on the first LG section, when time called there were about 5-6 left unanswered.sadly i saw most posts saying the first one was real so felt really depressed.
What happened is what happened the only thing we can do now is to move on. already registered for the Feb one and let's rock it!!

@ The LG with zoning and voting was experimental.
thanks for the information. great to know the Voting/Zoning game is an experimental one. But i saw a lot of posts saying the in-out grouping (closed/open) one is real. So I am pretty worried.
I am wondering if LSAC would put experimental games and real games in one section? I am pretty sure the Voting/Zoning game and Closed/Open game appeared in the same section in my test book.
No they don't mix up experimental and actual questions in one section.
thanks.
could anyone recall if there is another closed/open game except for the train station closed/open game? I can't remember the subject but some how I remember it's about the coal mine?

Does anyone know if the poem paraphrase question/section was real?
Is this in LR? I remember this one. I only had two LR so I think this is real

I had 2 LG - RC, LR, LG, LG, LR. I fucked up the first LG. the 1st and 2nd game went well for me. But the 3rd and 4th were really hard. and I was not be able to finish them.
the 3rd was [removed]. something closed or not closed. [removed]
the 4th was distribute six people between a zoning and voting group. I remember [removed].
Is this LG an experimental one?

I took the dec 2017 test at NC state. Parking was a breeze. The room and desks were spacious, about 50 students. Proctors were amazing. Test started on time and I was out earlier than I expected, before 1:00pm I believe. Super smooth day. Cant help about much with NCCU but you can go and check out the law school room. The NC state place was the schools specific testing facility building, I think, so there was no outside noise. Wish I was still in NC so I could re-test there. Good luck!
Thanks! I originally registered for NC State but got reassigned. I think the facility at NC state was perfect when I took the test on June 2018, but we didn't start on time because it took a while to check in all the test takers, the proctor collected and redistributed the admission ticket... etc.
The classroom at NCCU looks okay to me. But during my research I found multiple ridiculous incidents at NCCU, e.g. the ac was not working and a girl passed out, there was a March Band competition going on, bad proctors, etc, which freaks me out a little bit.
However, I don't have many choices for testing centers out there around Raleigh-Durham area. So I think I will go with NCCU and be prepared for the worst scenario.
@
you are welcome! Good luck with the Sept test and let me know if you have other questions about NC Central.
