Hi,
I am a non-native speaker of English. The RC is my weakness. Right now I am -6 to-8 in RC. I am looking for a good tutor.
did you got resonspone? thanks
@ I finished it. So I think the reason they gave to you is bullshit. They just prioritize people according their own rules. I am deeply sorry for this situation.
I received the retake email just now. Just keep trying calling them and state your request. Good luck and send my best wishes.
I just called again, but the rep. have no idea what's the their so-called review's result. Just ask me keep waiting and promise there'll be a result by tonight.
@ I am so sorry for your horrible experience. LSAC is a corrupt institution. Last week their rep. told me because the limitation of their seats, they cannot guarantee everyone an oct. retake. They'll prioritize according to their shitty rules.
And i think the reason they gave you is bullshit. I know someone finished the test but still was granted a retake yesterday due to proctor interruption.
Just try whether they might give you a refund and a retake on Nov. by calling them. I saw on reddit someone successfully did this.
@ Sorry about your experience. I was interrupted by the proctor during my first section. When I had about 9 mins left on that section and was doing the last game, the proctor took control of my system and asked me to show him my ID and do a security check when the time was still running. He didn't pause the exam and later he told me he thought "I have finished my test and it's my rest time". I ruined the last game and sabotaged the later sections.
I also finished the test and chose "keep the score" under the same concern as yours. I am really nervous this is the reason they refuse to give me a retake in their OCT retake.(with limited test seats). Besides, I have a high 160+ scores on file. I worried LSAC specifically "choose" someone to get the retake chance.
Good luck to both of us.
Gosh, still no update or email from LSAC.
Just called, the rep. told me they are still sending the email now. BUT if we don't receive the email by today, then we might not be able for an oct. retake seat.
Thank you for the update and information. I haven't received yet. I am going to call them again now.
Nothing yet. 😒Btw, may I ask did you ask for “cancel the score” when you submit the complaint?
Hi, did anyone receive the email from LSAC? Thank you!
My test proctor asked me to show him ID when I was still on the fourth Game with 8 mins left. Show him ID when I still have 8 mins left. I had finished all the security check before I started. And he has a strong accent and I couldn't understand what he was talking about when he suddenly open the mic and shouted at me. He also took control of my computer system and did not PAUSE the timer.
And later i asked him why he asked me to show him my ID he told me he thought I had finished. It doesn't make sense at all. On the screen it says "8:00 min left". What kind of proctor will ask a test taker to show ID during the test??
Did he do that just for fun?? But I wasted about 3 mins on the LG section and psychologically ruined because of his action.
It's just totally a nightmare. I filed the formal complain with LSAC but haven't heard back from them.
Hope no-one here will run into the same situation as me. 😭
@ Oh, gosh. I had almost the same experience as you. And I had problem to understand the proctor's STRONG accent. In my first section-LG, with 8 mins left, he interrupted me and ask me to show him ID! With 8 mins left. I was totally on panics. I asked him later why he did this, he told me he thought that I had finished. Can I message you?
Just totally nuts. The last one on Oct is on 21st. And it's 16th already.
still waiting for emails. No updates now. 😢
Hi,
I am a non-native speaker of English. The RC is my weakness. Right now I am -6 to-8 in RC. I am looking for a good tutor.
@
Sure. I understand the frustration.
@ Oh no. I mean I did not heard back.
I called them two days ago. And I filed on my LSAC account yesterday morning.
I haven't heard back as well until now.
I took the test on 12th. During my first LG section, when there was still around 8 mins left. I was doing the hardest duet one. Suddenly, the proctor shouted at me over the MIC that he wanted to see my ID. I didn't know what happened. I was so scared.
I took the ID and showed it to him.
He asked me: Are you done with your test yet? I said no(almost crying), "it's not, there is still eight minutes left."
He said: Oh, I thought you were done. Go ahead with your test.
He didn't press pause for the whole conversation, which cost me about two minutes, and I didn't solve this LG.
I am a non-native speaker, and the proctor also has strong accent. So I didn't understand her what he was requesting at the beginning.
And because of this incident I dumped the next session RC as well.(luckily someone told me the second section is experiment) I had very hard test make up. LG-RC(rap)-RC(Canadian writer- Paternalism) -LR
I've been thinking about it since Tuesday, it's so infuriating that I completed all the security testing before the exam. Have any of you guys ever been interrupted in the middle of an exam and asked to see the ID?
I quit my job on April and prepare it full time. This is my second lsat. I have been PTing consistently around 170. But I think I have been crewed up on this time.
Why why why? Why some random proctor can interrupted you on such a high stake test and bear almost no cost. Did he do that just for fun?
Why C is the the right choice?
Context: Some researchers claim that people tend to gesture less when they articulate what would typically be regarded as abstract rather than physical concepts.
Premise: Because some people perceived words like xxx, as XXX....
Conclusion: To point out that such a correlation is far from universal is insufficient reason to reject the researcher's claim.
where is the reconciliation?
SSomeone asked me about how to improve the RC.
The fastest way to improve reading is to redo pt 1-50's RC, which you haven't done before. Be sure to time yourself when you practice. Although PT 1-50 is old LSAT, they are real content and written in the same "crazy" way as the current LSAT.
My RC was my worst part for a long time. There was a time when I could only get -3 in LR and -0 in LG, but I easily got -12 in RC. Then, I pulled all the old RC from 1-50 out, redo all of them, again and again. I might have redo some passage three times or four times, but it doesn't matter. Even if you remember the passage, you can still improve when you practice next time. After a while, I noticed that I have a much better grasp for the transition/main ideas/attitude of RC passages. Then my RC started to improve from -10, then -8, then -5, then -4....(there were some up and down, but I did notice the improvement)
I understand the struggles of non-native speakers. There are much-nuanced meanings in the passages. All we need to do is practice and practice.
Loophole for my LR?
Oh yes, for sure. I pulled all the wrong/uncertain LR questions redo all of them many times. After three days, after 3 week, second time, after two months the thrid time...(It is not necessarily this time interval, I mean keeps going back and redoing the wrong questions)
@
I just went over with 7sage course before I started to PT. But because of my personality and my learning way, I jumped lots of content. Basically, I only cover 10% of the course content that I wish to read. Then I started my PT right away.
After a while, I realized my understanding for some basic concept was not solid. So I went back to the basic course and rewatched some of the stuffs I felt needed.
@ At first I spent a lot time to review my tests, when i was scoring 160-165. Review means both blind review and review the wrong answers after a while.(10-20 days)I think it really helped.
Then I started to consistently score above 165+,at that time, I have basic ideas about my weak/strong part of this test. I started to drill my weak part, such as NA/SA type questions, Strengthen/Weaken type. I pulled out all the questions from the PT that I have done+from PT 1-35(depends on your time), timed practice->blind review->review all the wrong questions->redo all the wrong/uncertain question..... keep this cycle until you feel confident of this type of question.
Then restart your PT, blind review, review the wrong/uncertain questions/redo all the wrong/uncertain after a while.
In the early stage of my PT(155-165), I spent about 40% time reviewing. In the final stage of my PT, I spent about 20%-30% time reviewing.
There are two kinds of problems:
1)Air pullutant-Ozone: for asthmatics, very bad, even if reduced the current level can still be dangerous.
2)Water Contaminated: presents a much more widespread threat.
Premise: people notice and concerned only the most obvious public health problems
2)'sWater is much more dangerous than 1)'sAir
Conclusion: control for air pollution is unlikely this time.
Choose B
Why C is wrong:
current public awareness of the severity of the water problem doesn't explain in the context.
We just know water's pollution is much more dangerous than air's pollution, then we ignore air's pollution.
Hi,
I totally have no idea about how to solve game 4, the five hats are displayed in a boutique one. Does anyone can share how you solve it?
C-encode a previously unused algorithm. It differs from what the p3's sentence.
Hi,
I have an international transcript sending to LSAC. When my school send the transcript they use DHL shipping which cannot ship to a PO box address. So they send my transcript to
Law School Admission Council
662 Penn Street
Newtown, PA 18940
USA
But it seems LSAC has different departments. (LLM JD and maybe Tax/HR department) And I guess some front desk has received my transcript package. They tracking records showed it has been delivered 10 days ago but I received Nothing confirmation from LSAC.
Do you think the transcript department will still able to get my trancript?
I am really worried now.
Thanks
@ Yeah, although I didn't count but I think you are right. =,=
After all, this is not my language so I have to try really hard.
I am a non-native speaker. But I did it. I have done all the PT 50-92 3 times in the past 9 months! Drilled all the Questions from PT 1-45.
Hi,
My master program from Europe is still online due to Covid. The staffs are work remotely now. They told me they couldn't ship the paper transcript but they are able to send the transcript thorough email.
Does anyone know whether LSAC still accept email transcript?
Thank you so much!
@ I send you a message. I have the same issue here. Would you mind share more information of how you communication with the LSAC. I had the same issue here.
I am same situation here. US undergraduate and European LLM, and ran into the same situation as you!!!!!!!!!!Crying, this is the worst agency in this world.
