confused too, could not tell which sentence was actually the author's voice :(
Hi I think it has already been explained above why "C" is incorrect. It is precisely that "little" and "some" imply quite the opposite in this scenario. For instance, there is "little understanding of the subject matter" would imply quite a lot of ppl DID NOT understand, whereas if there is "some understanding" then I would tend to think there is quite a few ppl that DID understand, although not MANY or MOST.
Nevertheless I had the same issue as you. I did not think "E" was the conclusion, rather I thought the first sentence of the stimulus was the conclusion and I chose option "B" (ofc after eliminating option "C" based on the above reasoning).
Would appreciate if anyone can explain why "B" is incorrect tho.
I had the same question when doing it. However, I realised that this is incorrect bc, the question is not talking about ppl that DO NOT like ice cream, only those that DO like it, and the proportion of this bunch of ppl. Note a bunch of ppl like it, does not mean that the rest of ppl (not in this bunch) do not like it.
did the same ;(, can someone explain?
I wish I could help, but I'm confused too ;( Can someone kindly explain?
For q5, can anyone explain?
I have the feeling that the comparison can be implied between "very cold days" vs "not very cold days".
So, when answering the question I was thinking:
1. things being compared - "very cold days" vs "not very cold days".
2. quality being compared - indoor temperature
3. winner - "very cold days" (bc lower temp on other days).
Why is this reasoning incorrect?
I hate being woman LOLLLLL
