This is probably a dumb question but is timing of response indicative of a better outcome or just of a glut of applicants?
For instance, if I am waiting on a school for a couple of months, does that mean I am still in play or could it basically mean anything?

I think it depends on the school and what you know about their cycle. Sometimes you can find out when schools send out their first wave of acceptances and rejections. It's kinda hard though to guess if you are still in play though because you don't know how your application compares to all applicants. Essentially it's like Jkauf said: No.
Thanks guys. I apologize if the questions are dumb in nature.
