Hey all, I have a question about admission 2021. Recently I‘ve heard a lot of people are going to or planning on deferring.
So if there are too much people deferring this year, would that be shrinking the next cycle admission pool?
Does anyone have any ideas?

I posted something similar last week below.

The summary is that it is too early to say what COVID has done to the application market and the current waitlist/defer situation. We should have more data and consensus come August. One theory is economic conditions push people back to grad school to wait out the downturn and come out in three years when jobs are better. The flipside is that if economic conditions worsen, maybe less people go to grad school? The jury seems to still be out.
