Does anyone know if taking the LSAT is better than getting the GRE for admissions and scholarships? Or does it not matter? If you are trying to go for PhD/JD is it better to just take the GRE and apply or should you also take the LSAT?

If you can score well on the GRE, have a good GPA, no official LSAT score, and it won't preclude you from applying someplace you want to attend, I'd go GRE. Otherwise do the LSAT. GRE scores dont have to be reported, so benefit seems to go to those with higher GPAs. If you have an LSAT score, the school has to report it regardless, so a good GRE score won't mitigate a sub-median LSAT.
