    A 7sage tutor gives a good explanation here: https://7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/comment/194219

Why is D "Deforestation is slowed and the koala survives" wrong?

@contactanyac I also picked D, but after reading the explanation that the 7sage tutor gave, it makes more sense.

Essentially, the biologist says /F --> /K (if no forest, no koalas)
The politician responds with "ok so then F-->K" (if we save the forests, we save koalas)

The contrapositive of the biologist's statement is K-->F (if we save the koalas, we must have saved the forest), so the politician is making assumptions that are not in line with the biologists' statement.

Answer choice D, "deforestation slowed and the koala survives" can be written as F-->K, which is exactly what the politician was getting at! Because the question asks us for an answer that is NOT consistent with the politician's views, we can cross out D.
