I originally chose A but thought D aligned better with the last paragraph of the passage so switched to D. I can see how A is correct, but I'm still confused on how D is wrong. Could anyone please help? Thanks!

Is there a PT 97?
Sorry, it is PT February1997
D is wrong because his earlier book is said to examine themes of both black and non-black authors, while the newer book examines only black writers in Latin America. D is essentially saying the opposite: that the newer book undercuts the assumptions underlying the earlier book on Spanish American literature.
This is not true, it's in fact the opposite.
is there a video explanation for this passage? If so, then can you link it.
