What is the difference in this question between what is "inherently fair" and what "society deems correct"?

Difficult to say without seeing the question, but I would guess that has something to do with the assumption the stimulus makes. The correct answer probably has something to do with the fact that something being "inherently fair" might not be what "society deems correct"

^^ if i had to guess, the problem is looking for a necessary assumption. So you asking for the difference is a good thing, because the correct answer will probably say exactly that!
