Am I setting myself up for failure?

Taking the November LSAT this week and I’m feeling the first test jitters. I don’t think my score will be anywhere near where I want it to be. However, I’m planning to retake in January. Am I setting myself for failure by doing this and applying in February? Will I automatically get rejected and/or waitlisted? Should I just wait for the next cycle?

Im not planning on going to any of the T14 schools. Im aiming for law schools with ABA accredited part-time remote programs.

I took it for the first time in October, I wasn’t exactly anxious but I definitely put a lot of pressure to do well, which made me score below my PT range. Going in to November with a more it’s not the end of the world mindset which I hope helps but don’t psych yourself out too much, good luck!! I’m also in the same boat with retaking in January, and i hear a lot of mixed reviews. However, I did talk to admissions from top schools who say they give equal consideration, and have heard of people getting in around Feb, if you know you can score well in Jan, I wouldn’t count yourself out of this cycle! I’m not an expert though, this is just what I tell myself lol

@javaliin, thank you so much for your input! It has helped give me some piece of mind. I was just psyching myself out and second guessing apply this cycle. I think I should reach out to admissions for the schools I’m interested to see their insights. Hoping for the best (for the both of us) this week.
