Necessary Assumption - Negation Tests for Strengthen/Sufficient Answer Choices

Can we reliably use the negation test to rule out answer choices that strengthen/are sufficient for the argument?

e.g. https://7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-20-section-4-question-16/... Negating "less likely" = equal or greater than, which doesn't wreck the argument.

So long as you know that the negated answer doesn't have to destroy the argument, merely to weaken it, I think this will work in most, if not all, cases.

But hopefully, you;ll just get good enough to see the effect each answer choice has on an argument without having to negate each answer.

The power of the negation test is to differentiate an answer that is truly necessary for an argument to follow from an answer that merely strengthens an argument.
