Which Watch do you Practice with?

  Hey!

  I've been using this watch (as recommended by J.Y.): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005JVP0FU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  I used to use the watch I normally wear (a smaller Skagen watch), but what I like about this one is that the numbers are big and there's a rotating bezel.

  I have the Casio that J.Y. recommends and used it during the February testing. It worked like a dream, the rotating bezel made all the difference in the world.

  @akistotle what is so special about this watch?

  I just use a basic one and put it back to the beginning of the hour at the end of each section so it corresponds with 35 mins.

  Honestly, I don't use a watch. I find it too distracting; plus, the nice proctor will always give me a five minute warning.

  I think people should (ironically) do timed sections/tests in order to get used to IGNORING the time.

  Yes, the bezel is very nice. You just spin the bezel on the outside so that arrow lines up with the minute hand for every section instead of having to pull out and twist the thingy that resets the watch. You get the added bonuses of not having to worry about the wear put on the watch by resetting it hundereds or thousands of times while practicing, the reliability of a process so simple divers trust it to keep track of the time they have before they run out of air deep beneath the surface of the water, waterproofness in case it rains while you walk into the LSAT, and a watch that looks entirely normal and won't be thrown out by an overzealous test proctor when you walk into the test center.

  So if you don't have a watch suitable for the test, this is definitely the way to go. If you already have a watch, it is up to you whether to spend $16 or so for the luxury of the best LSAT taking watch money can buy. The advantages probably are not actually worth the money if you already have a watch, but it is definitely far better than buying an LSAT specific watch that could get you kicked out(either in accordance with the rules if it had a chronometer or through the proctor's incompetence) on the day of the test. As JY noted Casio or any other established watch manufacturer has been making watches that last for hundereds of years so its not going to let you down on test day. I bought one with a darker face because I liked the look better, but the idea of the bezel is the same.

  @akistotle maybe if JY became a youtube personality or an insta model. I think those are the 'easiest' ways to get a sponsorship.

  Yes, I think he'll get many followers if he post pictures of himself getting a 180 on each PrepTest with the Casio watch

  So this might be a stupid question but is it better to have a watch with numbers or no numbers? Numbers are easier to read than calculating by just the placement of the watch arms, but maybe distracting or just unnecessary information since it is not relevant what time it is, just how much time you have left...
