Please explain the concept of admissions cycles 🙈

Hi everyone! So, I'm a little confused about which admissions cycle in which I'm applying. I will apply this upcoming fall 2020, so next admissions cycle, with the intention of enrolling in law school in fall 2021. Does this mean I will be in the 2020 admissions cycle, or the 2021 admissions cycle? TIA!

You would be applying for the 2021 Admissions cycle. The admissions cycle is considered rolling admissions and typically open in September or October. Many schools applications deadline will be Febraury or March, though regional schools will often have deadlines well past that. The earlier you can apply with your best LSAT score the better.
