Can I have a turned off TV monitor in the room?

in General 316 karma

Hi Everyone,
I'm taking the LSAT at a hotel because the wifi at my house is kind of spotty. I was wondering if I can have the TV in the room or if I should call the front desk to have it removed. Also trying to pick a spot in the room where I am going to take the test so anything else that might be relevant in terms of what I can / can not have near me or in the room. Thank you!

I called LSAC about a month ago about this and they said to put a beach towel over TVs

I took Oct and had a TV in the room with no issues, but putting a towel or sheet over it could solve the issue if you're feeling paranoid!

  • Same, they asked to cover it during my test and there were no issues at all

I was worried about this too, however when I panned the camera around the room, the proctor said nothing about the TV, so it wasn't an issue.
