If you're looking for a distraction with many hilarious tricks and turns of argument, take a look at this [from this article, "100 Photos Inside NK" http://www.earthnutshell.com/100-photos-from-north-korea-part1/]:

image

My personal favorite is "Many foreign visitors to [NK] have acknowledged [that genuine human rights are guaranteed under the socialist system."

HOW MANY IS MANY? Many just means some. Some—so like, what. One guy?

See what I did there ...

Anyway, the article is muy interesting.

When you visit North Korea they only allow you into certain areas and the hotel in which you are required to stay in is on an island within an island.

@alexandergreene93, you can only take pictures in certain area. Internet is basically regional. That's what my father's friend who came back from North Korea told me.

That article is super interesting (the link I posted with the 100 pictures). Where believing the propaganda is a necessary condition for survival ... Fascinating and horrifying. A captive people, to be sure.

My father told me his primary school teacher always call the U.S "American Imperialist) in 1960s and 70s. @nicole.hopkins .haha

@jyang72 to be fair, that adjective may not be entirely without support ...

@nicole.hopkins , but saying Americans were living a worse life than Chinese in 1970s and 1960s is way over propaganda.
