Preparing for modern LSATs

I have seen a lot of posts regarding a decrease in PT scores and/or an increase in difficulty with the newer PTs (70-77). Is there anything in specific that makes these tests harder? I am just starting to PT(starting in the 30s and working my way up) and wondering if there is anything I can attempt to practice while taking these older PTs in preparation for the more moderns tests.

You can skip around, there's no need to go in chronological order. The biggest difference in my opinion is better trap ACs and more subtle correct ACs, especially in RC.

As @Pacifico said, skip around, don't save all the newest tests for last. Also, not everyone thinks the newer tests are more difficult. I didn't find them to be any harder than the earlier ones, it could be the same for you.

I'll say that my score has actually gone up since the more recent PT's, so don't let everyone's experience worry you!!!
