Just took the August exam and will be taking the October exam as insurance. Averaging -5ish per section on LR and need to get to -3ish consistently. Goal is 165-170.

Take all 4 sections. The LSAT is testing your mental discipline just as much as it's testing your reasoning abilities. Practice hard so you can make it easier for yourself on test day.
Dude I'm in the same kind of situation that you were in...smashing LG but stuck in that high 150s/low160s range. I get -9/-10 on LR every time. What were some of the big things that helped you with LR?
I'm stuck in a similar situation (getting 165, aiming for 170 by August). Improving Logic Games to -0 took me about 2-3 weeks, so I definitely think you could crack 170 by focusing on that section.

Yeah I'd definitely take a practice LR section before the test. It sounds like you're in the zone by the time you hit the 2nd LR section, so doing a practice section before the test would put you in that state from the beginning.
Consistently hitting 165 on PTs is definitely achievable, especially if your timeframe gives you until June. Focus on practicing the type of LR problems you consistently get wrong. Group them together, find out your "achilles heel" on those problems…
