Hi Ham!!!! I am SOOOO excited for you. UCI is lucky to have you. Please keep me updated. I'm deposited at Notre Dame after negotiating and re-negotiating my scholarship. I had no idea that was a thing you could do, but I felt like a badass negotiato…
@"Ule S. Geb" Someday after we pay off student loans, the puppies can eat the fancy kibble...
Interesting. What are your motivations for studying Mandarin and could this be accomplished after the March LSAT? I say this because LSAT prepping is time…
Hi @ChaimtheGreat ! Yes...yes he does. It looks like we will have several years of student poverty. Yay!
I can hear JY talking about main point questions in the other room. Oh my. The memories!
I thanked my professors right away. I heard writing a reference through LSAC is kind of a b*tch (you have to make an account with them). I sent them a note and something special that is unique to them. For example, one of my professors has two borde…
Agree with above. Relationships carry waaaayyy more weight. I would go with the first referee who can speak to your academic abilities and the second who can speak to your professional working style. It seems like all three wrote you good letters, s…
Ahhh the feels for this post! So I thrive in high-pressure work or school situations but standardized tests are a different story. My mind actually goes blank. Like almost blacks out. My hands shake to the point where I can't even write on a page. I…
Went from -12 or -14 (yiiikes) to -0 to -3. I think the biggest jump I got was because I took LG sections, which helped with my timing. I'm also not afraid of unusual games and feel way more confident going into a LG section on a practice test. I wa…
I am soooo SOOO happy for you! Congrats, my friend! You absolutely deserve this and all the best in the future. And when you decide to re-run for public office, I'm already signed-up to knock door-to-door. Can't wait to hear about where you go next.…
Just echoing the great advice already mentioned. Worst case scenario is that you don't get the score you want and decide to retake. Then you may be looking at a gap year and a full-time job. I don't blame your employer for wanting you to be 100% men…
Ah Ham! We are on the same wavelength. Text me if you want to chat about it. I am strongly considering Canadian law schools because of the lower tuition and better public schools for the babies. This has been so helpful! I read that only a couple of…

I misbubbled. But hey, I got Q24 on the LG section right (rolls eyes). I'll be retaking in July lol.
lol...wait there were only 23 LG questions, right? I feel like I'm losing it!

can you elaborate? i'm lacking brain power (or coffee) to figure out & am in the same boat.
So under my Disclosure book it says you took Form #9LSN133. Then I have PDFs for Sec 5: Analytical Reasoning, Sec 3: LR, Sec 2: R…
Question--is the disclosure book supposed to match up with the IRR?
Under my disclosure book, it says what form I took and then Sec. 2, 3, 4 & 5 (missing section 1). Then when I go to my IRR, it shows Sec. 1, 2, 3 and 5 (missing section 4). Do…

If I'm honest, lately, I've slacked on exercising because by the time I finish studying I'm so drained I just want to lay in my bed. But I'm trying to push myself tonight to walk around like I used to. I'm limited in my exerci…
I didn't talk about law. I guess it's tangential, though. It was about painting a picture of who I am and crafting a compelling enough narrative. For a couple schools, I wrote maybe one or two sentences at the end about why x fits.
Aww don't apologize! I'm glad you are comfortable discussing your mental health. It is important to destigmatize it. so I took my daily meds for anxiety but didn't take my klonopin because it makes me feel like a zombie...or like I drank four glass…

I dreamt that I went to my LSAC page to see if it was grey day yet, but my score was already there! A bold 149. My diagnostic was a 147. My dream self was absolutely heartbroken that all I got was two points after havi…
A lot of joint programs I've seen require the LSAT or the GRE. You still have to apply to each program separately, but it seems as if admissions will accept the LSAT in lieu of the GRE if you are applying for a dual program.

I'm inspired by the defense attorneys (public defenders included) throughout America whose names we all might not know but who are standing between the state and the individual. I've been watching "The Staircase" and leav…
I want to do a dual JD/MSFS (masters in foreign service). Hello other dual-degree peeps!
@"Marie Avery" Did you have a specific question about the application process or something else?
Great idea to check the "other" box! Growing up, teachers never knew what to tell me to check. I was always only "other" or "Not Applicable"!
Thank you for advocating to be overinclusive. I never would want to take away someone else's spot or anyth…
So @JustDoIt would you say "the bump" for Hispanics is the same regardless if you are Mexican American or Puerto Rican?
Another question... what is the difference between Native American and American Indian? Does American Indian include indigenous …
@"LSAT Warrior Princess" here's an example of my LSAT journal. I cut out questions I got wrong or questions i circled. Then I do a write-up. I'm very much a kinesthetic learner, so handwriting it out helps me more compared to typing.
