The proof is in the numbers. I am now more convinced that this years cycle is "slower" than last years. According to data from the LSAC website, there are less applications and less applicants today than there were at this same time last year. This …

@Bamboosprout I have already pretty much decided where I want to go and it is not USC. Better to let them know so they can reallocate funds.
Would you still have withdrawn if they were …
Two updates:
University of South Carolina:
I applied back in November. I received a 35k~ per year scholarship. I asked them to increase this amount back in mid December. I was told they would get back to me later in the cycle. Towards the end of J…
Bumping this up (I think?) to see if anyone has any new input. Apparently, some schools are encouraging scholarship recipients to reach back out if they are not satisfied with their current award. See below an email from UMass Law:
Dear XXXX,

I think it's hard to say for sure that schools are taking longer to get applications back, based only on anecdotal evidence. We need to consider how many applications these schools are receiving and how many people are reporting delayed responses.
That was super helpful! Thanks! I did not think about attaching another school’s offer, but I will most likely be doing that going forward.
I agree, it’s best to have some type of leverage, but I would still ask even if I did not have any leverage …
@"Leah M B" can you tell us how you were able to get UCLA to raise their offer?
Did you send them an email saying you had a full tuition offer from another school? Did they mention the other schools offer in their response to you? I wonder if they …
I didn't look too much into it. I would only consider moving out of state for full tuition. I am using most of the out of state applications I sent out as negotiation testing grounds. Once I Know what works, I will try my hand with negotiations at s…
That’s amazing! Congrats!! Way to go!!
You must have really impressed them with your resume and personal statement! I think those online calculators/predictors only factor in GPA and LSAT scores
I should also add that some of the numbers on the 509 might not be fully reflective of what a school can offer. Three of the local schools I applied to this cycle appear to not offer any full ride scholarships, yet they all offered me full ride scho…
I messed up on the last game of the real LR. The one with Saturday- Sunday sequencing. I drew the diagram with only 6 days instead of 7 and only realized this mistake at the 5 minute warning. I bubbled c for the answers for this game. Got through mi…
It was more like a 10% success rate. I emailed roughly 10 schools that sent me solicitations (an already biased sample?) and received a positive response from 1. (This was a separate test with schools different from the 36 I asked application fee wa…
Lol well in the same vein no one has shown me that they would find it presumptuous. Y’all are just the ones saying you think it is, but that’sjusr y’alls.
Maybe I will try to apply to this school that gave me the fee waiver (even though I do not pl…
update for everyone:
y'all was wrong. I axed many of the schools that were sending me solicitations that I did not plan on applying to. Most said no, but one said yes. Schools do in fact offer CAS reporting fee waivers, for anyone interested.
If y…

You can do whatever you want. Personally I wouldn't rely on an ancestry test. I wouldn't claim Native American without affiliation to a tribe.
If not a DNA test, then what would you rely on? Also, what should I claim, if not …
So by your guys reasoning, only those with documented affiliation to a tribe can be considered Native American? What about one who grew up in a Mayan village and came here? He might not have any documentation, but surely he is Native American?
I was adopted into a Filipino family, but I think I look more Hispanic than Asian. So should I identify as Filipino (Asian) since that’s the culture that I was raised in?
I was adopted. I never really knew what I was, and never really knew what to identify as. I look kinda f Hispanic, so that’s usually what is identify as.
I stopped he skipping strategy and had a massive point increase! I went from averaging low 160s to high 160s and not skipping was one of the only things that I changed. That and not reading the stem first.
What if I ask anonymously. What could the harm be in that? Aside from taking a couple minutes of the admissions persons time.
It might be interesting to see how schools respond.
The LSAC reporting waiver is nice, but it still leaves a lot to be desired in terms of equity of income disparity.
Those who have high incomes or family’s with high incomes will be able to more easily apply to more schools and therefore have more l…
