  • @shainabarber the difference in difficulty of RC is the reason i ended up withdrawing from the Oct test. I was near perfect on the old RC but I am going worse than -6 on the recent RC. regardless of what people say i am finding that old RC is not …
  • i also find it very difficult to repeat RC passages. The older RC is also much easier than the recent RC so there are very few RC sections to practice with. interested in tips on how to improve RC. i keep missing -7 to -9 in the newer RC after a lo…
  • that's what freaks me about sitting so close to people on such an important test. any slight noise, the guy sitting next erasing/diagramming aggressively, mumbling, any breathing noise, fidgeting, tapping, general movements can continuously break …
  • i also took a test at JFK before and then they had seated 1 per desk. today they had seated multiple people at 1 desk and desks were not apart. one could see it through the door and during the break. such seating would be a big distraction with next…
  • it's supposed to be the best center in the area, but it looked awful. can't take in that little space. anyone take the test at JFK law? @"GSU Hopeful" said: On top of the anxiety I'm likely to feel, my personal space issues would lead to an episod…
  • @allergic considering the high range you were scoring in, how much time did you take (like 30 seconds) for a question before you decide to just move on from it and be sure to lose 1pt? it seems it'd be pretty hard to do this in rc there is little ti…
  • I checked the 180 watch that i used last year and it is not working anymore. I assume it's the battery. Has anyone replaced the battery of the 180 watch as I couldn't find how to open the back cover?
  • that's a nice score on such a difficult test. i couldn't have thought that people could score near perfect on an RC this difficult under fresh timed conditions. i missed 4 questions alone on the 3rd passage, which i took around 12 mins to complete.…
  • @kylemitchellx i scored the same as you on this test. from your other recent pts it clearly looks to be a strange one. any reason why pt-75 was below your normal scores? how did you do in 72 RC compared to others? i thought it was much more diffic…
  • is the drop in comparison with other 70s PTs? do you mind sharing what you scored in this test vs other 70s tests? i feel that the RC was 4-5 raw points more difficult than other RCs and LG was 3-4 raw points more difficult than recent LG. @kylemi…
  • @nicole.hopkins i was surprised by the difficulty of this test compared to 71, which had a better curve. what you scored on this one? and its rc? the LR for this test was ok, but lg and rc had some games/passages that seemed incomparable to even…
  • Is the section salvaging and drills only in 4th ed? I already have an older edition of manhattan rc book and not sure if it's worth buying for these alone. Anywhere else one can access these additions to previous ed? @"mornincounselor-1" said: I t…
  • this is a very inspiring story. seldom do we see such success. thanks. i'm in a similar boat and hoping for the same target. you have a strong rc of only -2 in a new test. how much time do you take to read the passage and how much to do the questio…
  • @aincao how many are you missing in new RC (pt 60+)? how fast you read the passage and do the section?
  • @Pacifico @jac376 how many do you miss in new RC PT 60 onward?
  • @"Quick Silver" what was the difference you felt in your own ability between 2nd and 3rd take or did you think that you were equally good at the test at these two takes and the 3rd one simply went well? did you feel during your second take that you …
  • @Pacifico @Aiesha G.what are your RC scores in recent PTs (after PT-60)? are these scores strictly timed and on fresh never before seen tests?
  • IMO there is a bit of hindsight 20/20 going on here in your reasoning. once one knows what the right answer is it's easy to see the argument in light of the credited response, which in this case is the view that demand increase causes price increase…
  • IMO the argument is using a general principle as a premise when it says that ""as a result of increasing demand, the price of gasoline has risen steadily." I'd interested in what experts may have to say about why this is or is not a general premise…
  • what you're saying would be true if the stim said that demand causes price increase only in certain conditions. but that's not what the stim says. it uses the premise that gasoline demand causes price increase without specifying any conditions on th…
  • only a completely fresh PT under strict test conditions gives a correct idea of score imo. retakes aren't representative.
  • the main difference is RC. one can go -0/-2 consistently on the older RC, but still can do as bad as the range of -7/-10 on the new RC.
  • if you can consistently get -1 on RC in new PTs, no reason you can't get 177+ on the real test. you should share how you do so well at RC.
  • @brna0714 where did you order it from?
  • Same issue as well, find that 3.5 min is not enough to understand the passage well enough to fly through the questions, and taking 5 min on the passage read doesn't make one understand it well enough that one can finish questions in the remaining 3.…
  • Very helpful to watch this. Yeah this recording is from May 2012 a couple of months after the test release which wasn't apparent. Earlier it had seemed that it's a new recording and since it's many years old PT, one would assume that people who teac…
  • This is unreal..he was at Q4 after 1:30 mins.. But he may have done this section before many times as instructors typically do. For a strictly fresh never-before-seen test, this is too blazin to be real @Pacifico said:was that a 25 out of 25 for @…
  • The single most important distinction between pre-50s PTs and later ones is RC. It's undoubtedly significantly more difficult. Those who typically score -3/-4 in older RC can average as low as -8/-9 in the newer ones.
  • Has ANYONE been able to buy a copy of SuperPrep-II? It was available late April on LSAC website, before it went on backorder. Yet, it doesn't appear that anyone either has a copy or knows the undisclosed PT in the book.
  • @blah170blah i didn't take it in Feb but knew that it took place there. For south bay residents only choices were up on the east bay. That's why I wanted to know about the proctors at CSU. Were they careful with takers in terms of punctual time keep…
