I think people falsely assume that taking time off will cause them to forget their fundamentals and how to take the exam. Trust me, you will not forget how to map out a conditional argument or identify the conclusion.
I did PT 60s and I think they are comparative harder than 50s and 40s. Maybe it is because LSAC changed some styles. But the fundamentals are the same. Premise, conclusion, get the support, get the flaw, attack it or bridge it!

I think you use the elimination technique (4 wrong ACs, 1 right AC) for all question types. The only ones that I would say to not use that strategy for is 'Identify the Conclusion' and very simple 'Sufficient Assumption' questions.
