This is a tough question. NOLA is a weird legal market and employment market generally. If you're happy to stay in LA (especially NOLA), sounds good. If not, you'd better be at the very, very top of the class to be able to get out of the area.
Curious if anyone knows how professional letters from lawyers/law firms are viewed by admissions vs. other non-legal jobs? Sounds like prevailing wisdom is at least look up your professors and try.

lol @montahar and @aleun62 ... indeed. Suits is a cookie cutter version of TGW. Entertaining, almost has an Entourage feel to it, but TGW takes the legal drama to another level.
@"Cant Get Right" I didn't know that show was legal at all? I see it on HBOGo all the time and never considered it. I might have to check it out!
Edit: Nevermind, it turns out it is right up my alley. It has politics, law, and good actors!
