Worked for me in contracts and con law at least... or so it seems... one can never tell :/ the grades are good( some good-ish) but that could be due to a variety of factors including prep during the term.

Wow, so HR blocked my previous boss from writing me a letter. I'm at the end of my rope for a fellowship and/or admission to a higher ranking school because of this. Gotta love professional life...
I was also placed on hold at one of the schools I applied to, but in my case there is no additional information or new score for them to wait for. I'm going to submit a letter of continued interest.
When you submit a letter of continued interest, do you just email them letting them know that you are still interested in their school? Do you include the reasons you are interested in their school or any other information? @allergic
Sorry I didn't see your comment earlier, @MikeyMangood. @twssmith is exactly right. A LOCI is a letter of continuing interest; you should consider sending one if you've been waitlisted.
