Just to clarify, Sages are a subset of Mentors. So Sage -> Mentor which means that if you weren't a Mentor, you can't be a Sage.
(There may have been an exception or two but that's the rule.) -

Updated this to clarify that the "Sage" title is reserved for Mentors! So if you plan on scoring 170 or higher, make sure you step up and get that Mentor title first ;) -
