@Nina_Lucas a splitter is if you don't have a good gpa but you have a great LSAT score, or if you don't have a good LSAT score but a great GPA (anyhow that's my perception from what people have posted, I could be wrong though..) -

The main con is that you relinquish any scholarship negotiation power. In most cases it is probably not a good idea to ED. -

You definitely don't want to apply ED to more than one program. By enrolling ED, you are committing to accept an offer if you get one. So, making multiple commitments of that nature is problematic and, needless to say, frowned upon. -
