A question on wording. By inference, I concluded that V *only* has S and W (as you did). But had that inference not been there, would the conditional wording — “V has S and W” — mean that V *only* has those two things. Or are the LSAT writers devious enough to let that mean V has those two things and possibly a third? I suppose it’s fair to read it either way, but obviously the more natural reading is that V only has S and W. Thanks.

Oh come on. Don’t put any amount of deviousness beyond the reach of LSAT writers! :) It will depend on the context. But, in this context, telling us that V has S and W does not preclude it from having L. If it wasn’t for that inference about Z having 2 options but only getting to share 1 with V, then V may well could have had L.

Interesting. I think each time I’ve seen them employ that specific interpretive fork-in-road, it’s been resolved shortly thereafter by an inference. Will keep an eye out. Thanks so much.

Did you have to redraw the chart for each question? I redrew it. What a nightmare move!

    • http://7sage.com/ J.Y. Ping

Wait, but why? We have almost all the info on the master game board. Only a couple of things are up in the air.

      • Quinn Nguyen

Some of the conditions were hard to keep track of in my head (“suppose that no two cars have exactly the same condition”).

Do you erase or do you play with the pieces mentally? I couldn’t tell from the videos because there we can wipe the board clean.

I figured something was up. It didn’t seem reasonable to redraw for all those charts.

        • http://7sage.com/ J.Y. Ping

We made all those inference right on the board. There are only 2 slots left to contend with.

        • Lori C

When it takes too long to redraw, I write lightly and circle what I’ve filled in for a particular question. That way, I’m not destroying my original chart and still have the visual.

    Oohh!! Got it…!!

    • http://7sage.com/ J.Y. Ping

      haha, nice!

  • Rinchen

For question 9….Z still doesn’t have anything in common with W after we chose S for it??

    • Mitchell

Exactly! This is wating me up. There isn’t anyone who can explain this?!?

      • Mitchell

        *eating

      • Lori C

Z has LS, and since W has WL then Z does have one item in common with W.

        • Mitchell

Thank you. I was thinking they all to have the same item in common. I read the question wrong.

          • Lori C

Reading a question wrong.. that’s something I know nothing about….. hahahahaha = NOT
