    Hey Ping,
Out of curiosity, did you number your premises during the real LSAT as well? Or, do you just do it in your tutorials for your students’ clarification?
Also, on the real LSAT do you think about and drive the premises to their conclusions as you write them down one by one. Or, do you write out all your rules and then start combining and making inferences.

    Thanks!

Hey Elizabeth, sorry about the delayed response! I took the LSAT in 2006. So, depending on how much you want to trust my (unreliable) memory, I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance that what I’m going to tell you is made up.
During the timed test, I didn’t number the premises because I wasn’t disciplined enough. I’m pretty sure numbering them is the way to go. It doesn’t take that much more extra time – what, like 0.2 seconds per rule/premise? But you’re so much better organized! :)

During the timed test, I try to push out all the inferences only when I have a “sense” about what those inferences could be. Like something palpable is there, just over the horizon and I can almost see it. That’s when I do it. It doesn’t happen for all games, but it happens enough of the time (because of how much I try to push inferences out during practice – it’s all about the practice). That’s a good thing cause that way, I feel (psychologically) more safe. Otherwise, if I don’t sense that immediacy, I don’t waste time and instead go straight for the questions.

Oops! LSAT 65 is from December 2011, not December 2012 as stated in the video.

I would literally do the ‘Gagnam style’ if these games repeat on saturday :D
