Hi All,

I had stumbled across a question which it needs to negate an universal statement. Is there a JY lesson on this? If so, it will be great if anyone can share the link.

If not, I had love anyone to talk about how to negate a universal statement.

Just think what it means to say not all swans are white. It means not all swans can be white. Means some swan gotta be not-white.

    Not (All As) (are Bs)

    (Some As) not (are Bs)

The 'not' changes the quantifier and drops through to the rest of the sentence.

It's messy, but I hope it helps you see the mechanics.

Hey @mtilton0524 , I'd love to help but I'm not entirely sure what your question is. I'm also not entirely sure what a universal statement is. Are you referring to an all statement? Something like "All Jedi use the force"
