    I agree. Accurately reading referential phrases has helped me tremendously with LR. I don't think it's emphasized enough!

    "Its" refers to the statement, "...there are paintings that are not works of art and should therefore be ignored...".

    C says that the argument is made in order to establish the claim that because these two groups of people agree that there are paintings that aren't works of art, that statement must be true.

    The argument, however, isn't made to establish that at all. The argument just says that because both groups of people agree on that point, their disagreement must be about something else.

    C mischaracterizes the argument, hence why it's wrong.
