on the LSAC website is says writing is typed and separate now? How do I do that? And does it still not count for the score?

It will be administered through your computer with a test proctor program at a time of your choosing. Just go to the LSAC website for more info (there is a big LSAT Writing info tab I believe). If you've already taken the LSAT then your previous writing sample is still on file and you don't need to do a new one. The sample does not factor into your score same as before.
