I'm a bit new to this and don't know a lot. Is the writing section mandatory? Does it cost money and do you take it the same way as the LSAT (like having a proctor)? Looking for any info! Thanks(:

There is boring but informative video on the LSAC website and a way for you to practice setting up your system first. You can get the whole thing done in an hour or two.
The writing section is mandatory to get your score, the cost is included in paying for the LSAT signup and you take it in a similar way, but you have to use a video to check your workspace, and then a proctor views the video later to ensure you didn't cheat. Super easy, takes 35 mins to complete!
