I don't think its too personal as long as you connect it to the "so what" question. What is the implication, how has it affected you and what did you get out of it that was positive/constructive? You seem to do that quite well in your response above already.
If you can connect your baldness to how it has prepared you to work with a diverse group of people then I do not think its too personal. Connection is the key versus a story time. I am not saying that you plan to make it the latter but wanted to help frame it as something that you overcame and are living with.
