I'm a non-URM with a 4.0 and a 172. PT average about the same with a few (recent) scores between 174 and 177. Is it worth taking again in November? My top choices are Michigan and Northwestern.

That is a great score. Northwestern will take it. My dream law school BTW!
I would like to know how you did it? could you please give some advice on how much time you put into getting the score you got? I will appreciate it.
Michigan doesn't necessarily see that big of a difference w/ LSAT scores once you are in the 99th range (Dean Z said that she thinks its more questionable to retake if your first score is that high). Unsure about NW.
If you're applying for this cycle, wouldn't it be a better use of your time to polish your essays?
At this point, you are striving too hard for perfection.
