Hi! Today has been a bit of a gut punch. I've been full-time studying since May, PT’d a 169, 170, 176 and 171 leading into October, but got a 167 on the October exam. My GPA is a 3.93 and my dream school is Georgetown. I ideally would like to be competitive for the T-14s even though I’m open to T-30 schools. I know law school applications are at a high and applying at the end of November vs end of October can be detrimental.
Do I drop everything, hunker down, and take the November exam (I scheduled it for backup) or take my chances with what I have now to be able to apply earlier?
I appreciate any advice! ❤️

Not sure if this will be helpful but if Georgetown has an admissions officer you could talk to, reach out to them and ask! I spoke with someone from my top school about my LSAT scores and my options for applying. They told me to take the November LSAT, wait till I get my score back and reach out to them again. I think it's a good way to make yourself known as well!
I would still do November. Sounds like environment or external might have lowered your points.
Brush yourself off and try again.
In my opinion, you are just 2 points below a lot of the t-14 LSAT averages and you meet the GPA requirement. I would say apply with the score you have, as long as your personal statement is strong. A 167 is an amazing score!! Im praying for at least a 162 on my November exam with the hopes of getting into a t-14 as well. Im a strong believer that some schools will take a chance on you if they see you story and see the dedication. But, this isn't all schools. All in all, good luck on your journey! Be proud of yourself because I am proud of you! A 167 is not to easy to get.
Most law schools receive your new LSAT score automatically and directly through the LSAC CAS. You could apply with the 167, plan on taking the Nov. and if the score improves dramatically, even send a follow up to highlight the changes.
In case your worried they will reject your application quickly* based on the 167, another option would be to apply, inform the schools directly through email and request that they hold your application until the new scores come through That said, if what you're worried is getting a rejection, you could hold off.
Its probably wise to apply so they have your materials in their systems early, that way once they have your new scores it'll just get processed quicker in theory.
Maybe tough to actually do this, but if you can get on the phone with admissions and let them know your situation, they might have straight forward advise to give you or provide a solution.
Hope this helps! Good luck on the Nov. exam! And not for nothing, congratulations on 167, Im sure it wasn't as good as you had hoped, but it's still really good nonetheless. In terms of bench-pressing for guys in the US, that would be like being able to 1 rep more than 270lbs, if you were weighing 180lbs. Or running a 5k in under 20 minutes at 25 years of age.
