Closing the Gap in Blind Review

Hi 7Sage!

I'll be taking my second LSAT this Friday, but I'm definitely planning on taking a third in January. I've been in the mid-160s since starting 7Sage in September, but my Blind Review scores are always somewhere in the high 160s/low 170s.

I'm usually stuck between two answers but always seem to pick the wrong one—I just completed a LR section where I got -7 on the first run-through and -0 during Blind Review.

Any advice on how to close the gap? Thanks!!

In addition to what @KenleeHinson said, I have recently started asking myself two consistent questions in BR/wrong answer journaling: 1) what did I fail to see wrong with the incorrect answer that I originally chose and 2) what did I miss/fail to see in the correct answer? These questions, combined with the approach-based questions of method/timing/etc., have been helpful for me.

Hi! I would start with finding the root cause of that gap. You clearly understand the content on the test (Congrats on the -0 blind review). Ask questions like these:

What clicked in blind review that I missed the first time through?

How can I ensure it clicks under timed conditions? (For example, did you find yourself rushing/skimming to fit within time constraints under timed conditions, but in blind review you had to review the passage multiple times).

This can help you identify blindspots to check.

Let me know if you have a question about this :)
