🫣 Scared

Here goes nothing

Going to be completely transparent, as an application, I have no idea where I stand. LSAT:146, GPA:3.70, plenty of work experience throughout college, current job I work I deal largely with the legal team and contracts. Going to apply with this score and hope for the best. Wish me luck, Hopefully I can come back to this post as someone who was able to get an acceptance to provide hope to anyone who feels like a bad LSAT score is the end of the world.

Update 1: got my first of 8 decisions back, rejected from Western New England. Only takes 1!!🤞

Update 2: waitlisted from Suffolk University, which was my top school. Will be submitting LOCI’s and additional writings in hopes of getting off this waitlist

This is so helpful. Thanks for sharing. I applied with what I have: a 3.9 GPA and a 146 LSAT. I have been a court interpreter for the last 16 years and work as a legal clerk at a private law firm. I am registered to retake in April, but would rather not. I applied to four schools with my current stats, received one rejection, and am waiting on the others. In my opinion, I have a lot of experience across different areas of life to add to their 'holistic' assessment, but at this point, I am inclined to think that what counts most is the LSAT, regardless of what they tell you. However, hearing about your experience gives me hope that it is possible to be accepted with a low LSAT, at least at certain schools. Wishing you all success in your search.

@HannaWallace hey Hannah! Do you mind sharing where you applied to? I’m applying to places with median LSAT around 152-154 range, but I will definitely keep this thread updated!

@Jake. Hi there, I applied to Gonzaga University School of Law, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the William H. Bowen School of Law, Mississippi College School of Law, and Willamette Law School in Salem, Oregon. I heard back from three, all with denials. Not fun at all.

Honestly, as much as reddit or other platforms add pressure onto you. This problem is so real and frequent. Best thing you can do is make a list of the law schools in the area you may want to potentially practice at and apply to those school. Maybe do all optional essays and make it count! Good Luck!

I am in the same boat. I have the same GPA but a 145 LSAT. I've applied to 7 schools and heard back from two so far and got accepted into both. I am retaking the the LSAT in February so we will see what happens once I get that score back. There really is hope! Good luck!!
