Got waitlisted from one of my top schools, does anyone have an idea how to write a letter of continued interest?

I am actually really happy I saw this and I will give you my complete honest answer. I took the LSAT in January of 2026 with undiagnosed ADHD. Test was January 11th, got my ADHD diagnosis 2 days later. Got a 146 on my LSAT and was crushed. Decided to register again with accommodations after applying and getting waitlisted/denied from everywhere, and now that I am taking practice sections with time-and-a-half accommodations, I have my test April 11th and am consistently scoring each section, and most importantly, can finally FINISH each section. My original strategy for the first time through was "ok, try to answer the first 16-18 questions with 100% accuracy and then you can guess on the last 6-8 since you can't get yourself to finish in time" (which is a terrible strategy and I was not scoring 100% accuracy on my attempts anyway). I want to save you the stress I allowed myself to feel. Get your diagnosis. I am not even taking meditation, but having that extra time is making me significantly more confident in my studies. I wish you the best. You got this!
@hanschoi
Update as of today:
rejected: umass Dartmouth, Hofstra, western New England law
Waitlisted: New England law and Suffolk law
Just got waitlisted from my top school (Suffolk Law School). What are the odds I get admitted from the waitlist?
I just got rejected from my first school with a 146 LSAT while also being well above their avg GPA, I get it. Luckily all it takes is one. We got this!
Update 1: got my first of 8 decisions back, rejected from Western New England. Only takes 1!!🤞
Update 2: waitlisted from Suffolk University, which was my top school. Will be submitting LOCI’s and additional writings in hopes of getting off this waitlist
@HannaWallace hey Hannah! Do you mind sharing where you applied to? I’m applying to places with median LSAT around 152-154 range, but I will definitely keep this thread updated!
@hanschoi nothing yet, all the schools I’m applying to say it takes 4-8 weeks for a decision. I’ll keep the tread updated! Thanks for asking!
Going to be completely transparent, as an application, I have no idea where I stand. LSAT:146, GPA:3.70, plenty of work experience throughout college, current job I work I deal largely with the legal team and contracts. Going to apply with this score and hope for the best. Wish me luck, Hopefully I can come back to this post as someone who was able to get an acceptance to provide hope to anyone who feels like a bad LSAT score is the end of the world.

Hey everyone! January LSAT Scores just came out today, wanted to create a thread for people to speak about their experience. Feel like reflection now can help a lot of people in the future.
Finally test day @2:30pm today! Just wanna take the time to say good luck to everyone who has/will be taking the LSAT. This platform and community has been so encouraging, and a great resource. For anyone just starting, use this discussion board to vent! Realizing you’re not alone makes all the difference. Good luck everyone, thanks for all the support, and God bless!
Hey everyone! Does anyone have any idea how long after applying to a school we can expect to hear back?
Thank you everyone, reading all these is definitely helping me feel better. I really appreciate everyone who is taking the time to respond. Wish you all the best!
Hey everyone, I had a diagnostic of 140, and my 3 practice exams since then have been 152, 149, and today a 144. I wanted to take a practice test as my exam is Jan 10th, and I am feeling so defeated. Does anyone have any tips? I am so frustrated at my steady decline.
a 143 as a diagnostic is NOT BAD. It will improve, don't waste your time taking PTs for the next few months, just lock in on foundations and youll see bump in your scores in no time
Hey everyone! Does anyone know how competitive applying for part-time or night classes is compared to regular admissions?
Hi everyone, I keep scoring 4/5 questions better on my BR compared to my first take on practice sections. Anyone have any tips that worked for them if they struggled with the same issue? I am taking the Jan 10th LSAT so any advice is really appreciated!
Don't take a bunch of practice tests, focus on sections, and try to take a practice test once every 1-2 weeks. Consistency in the sections>>worrying about test scores. You got this!
