I graduated in 2023 from a T15 undergrad school, majored in Political Science and Cognitive Sciences, minor in Computer Science. GPA 3.2/4.0. Just did a diagnostic, got a 151. I have worked in government since graduation (district attorney special victims unit, governor's office). I left both jobs without strong mentors/possible recommenders. I could ask but feel nervous about it. What are my chances of a T14 law school if I score a 172+ and had great recommendation letters? Is higher than a 172 recommended? How many months of study and how many hours? I want to aim as high as possible, definitely had some external stuff going on in college including being a victim in a legal case but I don't know how important addendums are perceived by top law schools.

I agree with the previous comment left here. Just give it your best shot.

Given your GPA, I would shoot as high as possible to increase chances -- 17mid territory.

If there's anything I've learned from the past year that I've spent reading these "Chance Me" posts on Reddit and other forums, it's that you will never get a consistent answer. If people said, "you don't have a very good chance," would you just quit? Do you need people to say, "hey, yeah your softs are great, so you have a chance if you get a 17X LSAT," to keep trying? If you are already going to apply to law school anyway, then I think your best bet is to just ignore what people online are saying, get the highest LSAT score you possibly can, write the best essays that you have ever written in your life, and leave nothing on the table.
