Self-study
Hi everyone! I’ve been having a tough time with RC and my scores on drills and full sections have been pretty low. I’d really appreciate any advice from those who’ve seen improvement in RC—tips, strategies, or anything that helped you would be super helpful.

I had been struggling with RC for awhile and still am to some extent. Recently I started mouthing the passage as I read and that has helped me a lot. I went from getting -6 - -4s to finally scoring my first -0 yesterday. It's a small thing but I have noticed a change for the better.
@LucasKramer would you agree that I should be more focused on reading for structure rather than paying too close attention to the details in the passage?
Hopefully this is still helpful as of 5 days later. I was struggling with cleaning up my RC and found that, for myself, it helped to spend more time on the passage. I also write down very low resolution summaries after each paragraph while keeping in mind the organization/flow/author's perspective. When it comes to the questions, almost every answer will have direct support somewhere in the passage. I won't feel confident in an answer until I find/recall very clear support that connects it to the passage. For the most part, the answer will literally represent the same statement as what the passage supplies, but worded slightly differently. Best of luck!
