Hello! I know this is a slightly older post, but I am writing this anyway hoping it can still help!
The 'experimental sections' on the PrepTests are actually just real, previously administered LSAT sections. In other words, the questions in these PT experimental sections are completely as valid as the regular sections. LSAC simply inserted an extra section from a previous test into each PT so you can simulate the true length of exam day.
While it is true that the experimental section on the actual LSAT might contain some unusually easy/difficult questions that the test-makers are testing out, the ones on your PTs are 100% real LSAT questions. Therefore, there's no real need to distinguish a PT's experimental section from other regular sections. Treat them all equally!
I hope this helps, and good luck!
Huh that is odd for me, the experimental is typically always my best section, actually. Only one out of the 7 PTs I have done has the Exp been my worst overall, so I am surprised that this is not the usual, I thought the Exp. section was supposed to be the easiest since it doesn't count... Hmm.
No not at all-- I find that sometimes experimental sections are exceptionally harder. It could just be that that section was dominated by a type of q's that you are strong in. Good to know that all exp sections are true LSAT sections, so there would be no way to discern between exp and graded sections.
