@k13lawwwwww - On the one hand - "sigh" because there's always something to do. On the other hand - you've got time on your side right now so you can use it wisely!
I won't talk about LSAT prep because I'm going to assume you're doing that right now. But here's what else I'd suggest:
You might as well register for CAS and send in your most recent transcripts. There's no rush here, but you'd also be surprised how often delays kick up when thousands of people try to do this right around Labor Day. Might as well do it now!
As other folks mentioned, you might as well reach out to those recommendors now. This gives them plenty of time to submit letters by Aug 15 or Sept 1. You want to give them a date that balances "far enough in the future that you have plenty of time" but "not so far in the future that you totally forget about this." Two-ish months is plenty.
Get your master app docs (ie, the docs you can use for most schools with little or no changes) locked down. You're still two months away from the August LSAT so you can spare an hour or two here and there to get your personal statement and resume done. If you need to do any addenda or CF explanations, tackle those. It'd also be good to do a master diversity statement (my fave general one comes from Michigan: how has the world you came from positively shaped who you are today?).
If you can get those done (or at least nearly done and needing a smidge of polish) by the 4th of July, you are GOLDEN. That gives you a month to focus EXCLUSIVELY on the August LSAT. Once you're done with that LSAT, you can then spend the next few weeks finalizing your docs. Then you get your score back and - fingers crossed - are happy with your score and are ready to start filling out apps when they open on Sept 1.
Good luck!
Same. I'm just focusing on LSAT rn and getting my second letter of recommendation. Everything less is just can be done later
Get letters from your recommenders NOW and ask in person if you can (a lot of professors fall off the face of the earth over the summer, or appreciate having the summer to write your letters). Also work on your resume (getting it to two pages, mentioning everything you've done since high school, etc.). Hope this helps!
I took LSAT in April and will be retaking it in September too :)
I think it's normal to wonder if whatever you are doing is enough, you are not the only one.
I'd suggest you to start tackling those LOR or personal statement, since it will take you quite few days, because each has certain steps to be followed and you really need to take the time to seat with yourself for a good personal statement, for me at least, it was kind of challenging.
Also, It was very helpful to have sticky notes in the wall, to have a visual to keep reminding me I am working on it and not feel overwhelmed.
Good luck !
@JacquiF Do I need to have purchased CAS before the Recommendors send those in?
@k13lawwwwww no
