Phoebe is spot on! The best way to make sure you’re building that skill is to isolate it. Keep it up so you can cut out as much wasted time as possible searching back through the passage!
Hey there!
When you drill, give yourself the rule that you cannot look back at the passage at all (except for questions that reference specific words or sentences); force yourself to rely completely on your low res summaries. This will go poorly at first, and that's okay! You're teaching yourself to take stuff in on the first read. Flipping back and forth is when most time is lost.
Keep your low-res summaries as few words as possible at first (think 1-3 words per paragraph) and then add more words in as needed. Everyone's sweet spot is a little different.
