Hi everyone,

I need a bit of study advice. I just recently finished up the core, LR, and RC portions of my study plan and I'm now on my first practice block. However, I'm currently about 1.5 weeks behind where I should be. I'm planning on taking the test in August and I'm wondering if I should try to do 2 days on my study plan per day in order to catch up.

My only concern is that I might be sacrificing quality for quantity by doing this. However, I can't shake the feeling that I'm just not getting enough practice to achieve my goal score in August and that time is running out.

Please give your thoughts.

    Hey there!

When it comes to studying, all the tutors I know (including myself) would definitely say quality > quantity. If you're flying through questions and confidently getting them right, then by all means, dip into the next day's workload! But if you're struggling with a concept, or not hitting 100% accuracy on a drill, then it's time to slow down and be methodical. A 5-question drill with full blind-review and good wrong answer-journaling is much more productive and beneficial than a haphazard 10 or 15 question drill. Studying for the LSAT is about training yourself to think certain ways. Cramming isn't the ideal way to do that. I know it feels anxiety-inducing, especially when there's a ticking clock. But you have plenty of time to be methodical.

  • I would honestly just prioritize quality over quantity so that you retain information as best as possible. I do this especially to avoid burnout
