I am applying to 6 ontario law schools this cycle. 4 of these schools have the same personal statement prompt, the only difference is that they each want to know WHY THAT SCHOOL- so I have written one personal statement, and will revise it for each school to answer the "why them" - but how should i answer this? should i weave the answer throughout the essay, or simply add a paragraph answering "why them"?

I’m not familiar with Ontario law schools, but it seems to make the most sense to add a paragraph at the end. That way, you can talk about yourself and your motivations and end with how that specific school will allow you to carry out your goals.

hey! I am doing the exact same thing with like eight different schools and my personal statement. two of them want to know "why them" and im just going to add it in at the end after I explain my reasons for wanting to pursue a career in law and the specific type of law I want to do. Thats the best way I've found to do it. I hope this kinda helps!

@Ssss Agreeing with this! You can really go either way (weave it throughout or just bring it into the summary at the end) but I typically find it's easiest to bring it into the ending. That's usually where you're talking about what you want to do in law school and as a lawyer. That question of "why this school" usually dovetails nicely with that riff.
